An exhibition of paintings entitled “Vietnamese landscape and people” by three female painters from Japan and Thailand opened at 42 Yet Kieu, Hanoi, on November 17.
The paintings feature the Vietnamese people’s daily lives with “pavement” restaurants, street vendors, and trading in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, which no longer exists in modern Thailand and Japan.
Painters Veno Mayu and Somboon from Japan and Phoung Dorkmai from Thailand said they are especially impressed by the cultural traits of Vietnamese lifestyle across the country.
The exhibition will last till November 25.
