Vietnamese spectators greatly enjoyed fabulous performances given by more than 140 artists from 23 Japanese art troupes in Ho Chi Minh City on March 3.

The Japan Day, organised by the Japanese Traditional Culture Promotion Association in coordination with the Japanese Embassy in Hanoi and the Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, aimed at promoting cultural exchanges and boosting understanding between the people of Vietnam and Japan.

The Japanese artists presented a variety of traditional culture, such as flower arrangement (Ikebana) and a tea ceremony (Sado).

On the occasion, music and dance shows featuring Japanese cultural characteristics also took place, namely Taiko and Wadaiko drum performance, Yosakoi team dancing, Koto harp playing, Nankintamasudare performance and Japanese folk dance.
