An Israeli 9-year-old pianist, Tom Zalmanov, will give an impressive performance of famous music pieces by W.A Mozart, L.v. Beethoven and F. Schubert in Ho Chi Minh City on September 6.
The concert is part of the young Israeli pianist’s second overseas trip to Thailand and Vietnam, following his recent tour of the Netherlands and Denmark.
The event will be co-organised by the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatoire.
Born in Israel in 1999, Tom Zalmanov learnt to play piano when he was five years old and started to perform on the stage one year later.
He was placed second at the Pnina Zaltsman contest in Israel in 2006 and second at Israel’s “The Next Big Thing contest”, and won a special prize at the Rotary contest in Moscow in 2007.
