Attending the event were Katherine Muller Marin, Chief Representative of the UNESCO Office in Hanoi, together with many scientists, managers and researchers in the field of culture from 16 countries and territories, including Japan, China, Australia, Canada and the US.

About 130 reports by domestic and foreign researchers were presented at the seminar.

According to Prof. Dr. Tran Chi Ben, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS), the seminar focused on the theory and methods for research into ancestor worship belief as well as the customs, rituals and historical and cultural values of ancestor worship belief in Vietnam and in the world, especially the Hung Kings worship rituals.

The seminar also discussed changes in the Hung Kings worship rituals and the preservation and promotion of the ancestor worship belief in the period of integration and globalization.
