Twenty-six sculptors from nine countries gathered at the Thien An-Thuy Tien Hill Recreation Centre in central Thua Thien-Hue province on May 3 for the fourth international sculpture creation camp.
The event, themed "Impression of Hue-Vietnam 2006", was part of the activities of the 2006 Hue Festival. It was jointly held by the provincial People's Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Information.
The event is expected to help enrich the collection of contemporary sculptures of Hue, whose ancient imperial relics and court music have been recognised as world cultural heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, said Ngo Hoa, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the 2006 Hue Festival Organising Board.
The fourth event is scheduled to run till June 5, 2006.
