International Sculpture Camp opens in northern port city

The International Sculpture Camp took place in Hon Dau Island in the northern port city of Hai Phong on April 2, drawing the participation of more than 40 Vietnamese and foreign sculptors.

This is part of the 2007 Hai Phong Tourism Festival entitled “Do Son-Bien goi” ((Do Son-The Calling Sea), which will be the largest event of its kind in the city, scheduled April 28 to May 1.

The camp is expected to be a good chance for sculptors to keep in tough with reality and complete their artworks.

Representatives from Hai Phong city will select and reward the best sculptures that feature the image of the port city, its people and landscape.
