More than 50 reports of domestic and foreign scientists and experts from Russia, China, Malaysia, Hungary, the Republic of Korea and Vietnam were presented at the conference.

The conference provided a good chance for scientists and education managers to exchange experiences and discuss measures to develop the open university system. Information and technology transfer and developing a distance training curriculum and programme are currently important tasks for open universities.
