The city of Hue is welcoming a large-scale sculpture titled Two Dragons Playing with the Lotus in the Huong (Perfume) River to celebrate the city's festival in June.
The sculpture features two dragons of 30m long and 4m high. It has been a three-month collaborative project between Australian artists Phillip Nizettte and Jenifer Jones and Hue artists Nguyen Thanh Tung and Ngo Thi Lan Huong with the support of the Australian Embassy in Hanoi.
Nizette and Jones, who work in the partnership Wellspring Environmental Arts and Design, agreed to design the construction with Tung and Huong as they are both experienced lecturers of the Hue College of Fine Arts.
The Hue External Affairs Office, several businesses, and students from the College of Arts gave a helping hand to making their project a success
