According to Nguyen Dang Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Hue city People’s Committee, this year’s festival on the theme “Bep Viet trong vuon Hue” (Vietnamese Kitchen in a Hue Garden) will introduce the food and ornamental gardening, which bear the traditional and cultural characteristics and style of the ancient royal capital. 

The festival also aims to honour artisans, who conserve and develop Hue traditional crafts. It also features the northern and southern dishes together with ornamental plants from 20 localities across the country. 

In addition, Vietnam’s traditional performances such as Cai Luong, Ca Tru and Ca Hue as well as arts displays and folk games will also be organised during the festival.
