Among 20 kites to be introduced at the festival, there will be traditional kites, which have existed in Hue for nearly 200 years such as phoenix kites, pheasant kites and dragon kites.

Artisans from the Hue Kites Club are currently making the best beautiful kites to attend the International Kites Festival to be held in China late this month.

Among 20 kites to be introduced at the festival, there will be traditional kites, which has existed in Hue for nearly 200 years such as phoenix kites, pheasant kites and dragon kites.
This year, a 50 m-long butterfly kite string, made of bamboo and cloth and a 60m-long dragon kite will be first introduced to the international public.

According to artisans, making and flying kites is not only a game but also a reflection of national culture and soul.
