The Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort and Spa is sponsoring the fourth annual Kite Competition to promote local tourism and culture. As many as 130 participants from Hoi An, Da Nang and other localities are expected to participate in the event scheduled for May 19.
There are one first prize of VND6 million, two second prizes of VND3 million, three third prizes of VND2 million, two special prizes of VND1.5 million, and four consolation prizes of VND1 million each.
The event, is expected to attract tourists from both Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort and Spa and other nearby resorts.
Hoi An is a picture-postcard traditional trading port which was at the crossroads of the Southeast Asian sea trade route in the period between the 15th and 19th centuries.
