The event is organised by the Indonesian Consulate General in coordination with the HCM City Union of Friendship Organisations.

At the festival, young people will have a chance to explore the culture and heritages of Indonesia. Vietnamese youth were introduced to making traditional food such as Gado-Gado, and playing Angklung and other folk games.

A variety of activities took place including a competition about Indonesia’s culture and people and displays of traditional clothes and dances of the Dayak people from Indonesia’s eastern province of Kalimantan.

The event exposes young people to the country and culture of Indonesia and its 250 tribes on more than 17,000 islands.

The festival will last until April 25.
