The Vietnam Historical Science Society has coordinated with the World Publishing House to publish a book in an effort to make the history of the country’s southern land clearer.

“A Historical Glance At Vietnam’ Southern Land,” compiled by a group of scientists who conducted research on the area for many years, provides historical evidence and legal material for readers to have a better understanding of the origin and history of development in the southernmost region of the country.

The book also aims to help readers interpret issues bequeathed by history in order to disprove the distortion of the truth by hostile forces, as well as to enhance the people’s patriotism.

The authors, headed by Prof. PhD. Vu Minh Giang, have collected research by scientists in many related fields such as historiography, archaeology, ethnography, cult urology and jurisprudence at home and abroad.

The book, which was written objectively and systematically, presents fundamental evidence concerning the development of the southern region on the basis of historical facts and international legal documents, confirming that this is an integral part of Vietnam.

The book’s index includes a chronicle of historical events and full texts or parts of legal documents relating to the content of historical analyses.
