She has received two air return tickets to Vietnam and other gifts from the organising board.
The 22-year old girl was born in Japan and has worked for a sports club in the country. Hiromi Pham said after the contest, she will try to learn Vietnamese to have better understanding of the fatherland in order to introduce its unique traditions and culture to international friends.
The second runner-up was Duong Thi Thuy who was born in 1987 in Japan and has worked for Nissan Automobile Corporation.
Other outstanding contestants were also presented with tittles “Miss Elegant”, “Miss Beautiful Face”, and “Miss Photogenic”.
The head of the organising board, Tong Thi Kim Giao said that the event aims to improve cultural life and strengthen solidarity within the overseas Vietnamese community in Japan.
The event, organised by Motiti Trading Inc attracted the participation of Vietnamese contestants aged 16-26 studying and living in Japan.
The jury board included representatives from the overseas Vietnamese community in Japan, and a Japanese entrepreneur.
