Rhone-Alpes Days will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from March 7-10 to mark the 10th anniversary of cooperative ties between the city and France’s Rhone-Alpes region.
According to the city's Foreign Relations Office, a series of cultural, economic and social activities will be held during the event, helping HCM City people have a view of all achievements in relations between the city and Rhone-Alpes region in the past decade.
Leaders of HCM City and the French region will review their cooperation projects in urban development management, healthcare, education and humanitarian programmes and map out prospects of bilateral cooperation in specific areas in the principle of equality and mutual interests.
HCM City and the French association of Urban Transportation Development and Cooperation (COTADU) are expected to sign an agreement, according to which the city will host the 13th international conference on developing and improving the urban transport system in developing countries in 2008.
The French Consulate General in HCM City said that big companies and entrepreneurs operating in urban transport, safe energy and lighting from Rhone-Alpes region will attend the event to seek new investment opportunities.
