Sharpshooters from Ho Chi Minh City topped the list of the 21st National Junior Shooting Championships which closed in Hanoi on August 29 with 13 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Host city Hanoi came in second with nine gold medals, while the Army took third with six gold medals.
On the final day of the competition, HCM City’s shooters grasped two medals: Duong Thi My Phuong in the shooting range with 391 points, breaking the national record set two years ago by an Army shooter, and Bui Hong Phong in the standard pistol with 558 points.
The nine-day tournament attracted 120 young sharpshooters from nine teams across the country.
