Hanoians are preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) with a number of impressive cultural and art activities along with many exhibitions and fairs taking place in the city as from late January.
Other spotlights include two festivals, namely “Thang Long tu tran” (four famous sacred temples of Thang Long) and “Phuc Loc Tho” (Happiness, Wealth and Longevity) which will open on January 10 and a certificate recognising the Thang Long Royal Complex as a historical relict site.
According to city authorities, fireworks will be let off for 15 minutes from the first moment of the Lunar New Year in nine places including Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, Ngoc Khanh Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Gia Lam flower garden, Den Lu park, My Dinh Stadium, Dong Anh Stadium and Soc Son new urban area.
