The second Oriental Dance Festival will be held in Hanoi on December 11 with the participation of nearly 40 dancers from across the country.

The event provides a great chance for seven dance groups, namely Sadie, Shara Esmeraldas, JAWA, Ceherazate, KenvinQ, Baste Douat and Lotus, to show off their talents.

In addition to traditional oriental dances, spectators will enjoy other special drum beating performances and various other dance styles including flamenco, tribal, Gothic and Cane.

The first Oriental Dance Festival was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Hanoi in October 2007, leaving a deep impression on spectators. Since then, oriental dance has become more popular in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other big cities and provinces. Apsara Dance Studio – a leading dance studio in Hanoi - has trained nearly 400 women who are keen on oriental dance.

To prepare for the event, Bastet Douat gave performances in Mosaique Living Room, the Noc Bar and J.A.F.A, where they received a warm welcome from spectators.
