Hanoi to host diverse activities for UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2025
VOV.VN - The capital city of Hanoi plans to organise an array of activities as part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in 2025.

Among key highlights, Hanoi will host conferences, seminars, and forums to exchange experiences and propose solutions to enhance creative activities.
It will examine the formation of a Creativity Support Fund to finance innovative ideas and activities, alongside introducing the Hanoi Creative Awards.
The city will upgrade its information and communication systems to showcase creative activities. It aims to raise public awareness of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and share local creative ideas. It will also connect and cooperate with other cities in the network.
Moreover, Hanoi will set up an expert advisory council to guide implementation efforts; sign a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Association of Architects to strengthen its brand within the Creative Cities Network; and promote international cooperation with other member cities in the UCCN.
In particular, Hanoi will encourage businesses and individuals to get further involved in creative activities, arrange creative competitions, and establish creative spaces at cultural relic sites such as the Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo Prison.
The city will host the Hanoi Festival of Creative and Design (HFCD) which aims to develop a creative ecosystem and attract additional investment to the city.
The municipal Department of Culture and Sports will be assigned to coordinate with relevant units to implement the tasks in order to realise Hanoi's commitment as a member of the UCCN.
