Tran Hoai Phuong, Nguyen Thanh Huy and Huynh Ba Tho will be among guitarists from HCM City’s Phu Nhuan Guitar Club to perform a number of Villa Lobos’ famous pieces such as Preludes (part 2), Suite Populaire Breusilienne and Pachianas.

Young Vietnamese Australian guitarist Le Hoang Minh, who won first prize at the 50^th International Guitar Contest in Tokyo in November 2007, will also be present at the concert.

Villas Lobos has been known as one of the most celebrated South American composers whose pieces represent the many musical influences and the folklore of his native Brazil. He died in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1959.
