The exhibition will be an opportunity for photographers to further promote their role and make their contribution to society, the public and the country. Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy the latest artworks of artists.
Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on August 28, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) Chu Chi Thanh said around 3,042 artworks from 938 photographers nationwide have been sent to the exhibition. The organising board has selected 343 artworks to display at the exhibition. Among the artworks, 36 will be nominated for prizes.
Mr Thanh added that under the theme “New Rhythm of Life”, the photos have vividly reflected changes in social life and the country’s achievements recorded in the fields of economics, culture and society. In addition, the photos have successfully featured Vietnamese beautiful landscapes and its people in the renewal process.
28 out of 30 artworks will be selected to receive prizes valued at VND98 million in total.
