Japanese pianist Tamura Hibiki will play Piano Concerto No 4 at the Hanoi Opera House on March 3-4 under the baton of Austrian conductor Christoph Campestrini, who has worked with more than 80 symphony orchestras around the world.

The concerto was composed in 1805-1806 for solo piano and an orchestra consisting of a flute, oboes, clarinets, horns, trumpets and strings.

It was presented for the first time at a private concert in March 1807 alongside the composer’s fourth symphony.

The concert is one of a series of works by Berthoven that have been performed by the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and warmly welcomed by classical music lovers.

Other stars to perform at the concert are Vietnamese pianist Nguyen Bich Tra and conductor Le Phi Phi, Japanese musicians Mukaiyama Tomoko and Suzuki Hidemi.
