The event is to mark the 1000^th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and the 35^th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Germany. 

Oktoberfest 2010 is expected to attract thousands of tourists, including many foreign friends. A famous band called “The Happy Bavaria” will perform at the festival.

The visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional Merman music, and drink Bitburger fresh beer and sample Germany food. 

This is the biggest event during the German Year 2010 sponsored by the German Embassy in Vietnam.
