Five Vietnamese films, together with films from Belgium, France, the Republic of Korea, Switzerland and Italy will be screened at the "Second International Documentary Film Week," in Hanoi from June 21-25. 

The films shown during the week focus on architecture, spirituality, multiculturalism, cultural heritage and women’s issues.

Of the Vietnamese films, "Quoc Tu Giam" directed by Nguyen Van Huong is the most notable. Telling the story of Vietnam’s first university, which was established over a 1,000 years ago, at the same time as Thang Long-Hanoi, the film celebrate the millennium anniversary of the nation’s capital city.

The film week has been co-organised by Vietnam’s Centre for Documentary and Scientific Films, the embassies of France, Italy, Switzerland and Germany and the Wallonie-Brussels delegation.
