Nearly 50 paintings and sculptures by a Canadian painter Jean Cote have been exhibited at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi.

The exhibition, entitled “Peace”, is part of activities to mark International Francophonie Day (March 20) in Vietnam. 15 out of his works were just created in Vietnam in 2007.

This is the first time he has held a painting exhibition in Hanoi and the sixth time he has introduced his works in Vietnam. Previous exhibitions were held in HCM City.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Canadian ambassador Gabriel-M.Lessard said Cote’s works lively illustrate the beautiful landscapes and peaceful life of Vietnam.
