Over the five-month event, the organizing board received 600 photos and photo collections and nearly 70 documentaries with more than 100 episodes of films.

Most of contestants were photographers, reporters, and film makers from ASEAN member nations.

The works focused on major issues such as the image of dynamic and potential ASEAN nations, landscapes and unique cultural characteristics, as well as the virtues of people within the ASEAN bloc.

Three first prizes went to photo collections by Zaw Zaq Tun from Myanmar, Anderson EE from Malaysia, and the Ho Chi Minh City Television Film Studio.

The contest was co-organized by the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam News Agency and Vietnam Television.
