The event will contribute to developing friendship and traditional cooperation between the two peoples of Vietnam and Russia.

Vietnamese cultural and art activities during the event will include a Gala art performance, fashion shows at the Novaya Opera Theatre, water puppetry shows in Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure, a photo exhibition introducing the images of Thang Long-Hanoi as well as Hanoi’s socio-economic and cultural achievements in the Doi Moi (Renewal) process.

On the occasion, the city will also co-ordinate with the organising board to promote investment, trade, tourism, education, and science and technology between the two cities. A groundbreaking ceremony for the Hanoi-Moscow cultural and trade centre will also be held.

Leaders from both cities will meet and sign a memorandum of understanding on developing friendly relations and cooperation between Hanoi and Moscow.
