A “Hanoi Cultural Week” will take place in Toulouse, a southern city of France, in May 2007 following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between representatives of the two cities on March 30.

This is a good chance for Hanoi to introduce its image, particularly its cultural tradition and current development growth, to French friends.

During the week, various activities will be organized, such as water puppetry show, traditional instrumental music performance, cuisine, tea culture and visit to Hanoi’s traditional craft villages. Many other activities will also be held to boost the two cities’ cooperation in investment, trade and tourism.

Ha Van Que, Director of Hanoi’s External Affairs Department, said the event aims to promote Hanoi’s sustainable and rapid development, as well as cooperation with the French city. He said seminars will be held in the coming time for the two cities’ businesses to meet and seek cooperation opportunities.
