The event, themed “Ha Long Festival towards 1000^th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi”, features local traditional cultural programmes.

Nhu Thi Hong Lien, Deputy Head of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee and Chairwoman of the Festival organising board said that the whole city is doing its best for a successful festival to promote the city’s tourism.

The highlight of the festival was the carnival, involving many artists across the country.

The festival has provided an excellent chance for Ha Long to receive more support from tourists to become one of world new natural wonders.
