Pamphlets, photos and VCDs of Ha Long Bay will be circulated in Japan in a bid to promote the world heritage site in its race to become one of the world’s seven new wonders of nature.
A Vietnamese delegation will leave for Japan on September 21, according to Head of the Ha Long Bay management board Ngo Hung who said that the Japanese capital of Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya will be venues for promotional activities and ballot-boxes to vote for Ha Long Bay.
The event is part of many activities during the Vietnam Week in Japan from September 16-21 to mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
A week earlier, the images of the world heritage site appeared on ten London taxis.
