By 5 pm GMT on February 20, Ha Long Bay of Vietnam was placed first in the list of beauty spots voted as the new seven wonders on New Open World’s website www.new7wonders.com, according to the Vietnam Administration of Tourism.
Ha Long Bay has consecutively been among the top 10 beauty spots out of more than 200 nominees.
By February 17, Ha Long Bay surprisingly progressed to third position in the list.
New Open World said Ha Long Bay is followed by two other Vietnamese beauty spots – Phong Nha Ke Bang Cave (fourth) and Fansipan Mountain (fifth).
