The world-heritage site’s unique beauty has been re-introduced to the public on the occasion of its nomination to the list of seven new natural wonders of the world by the New Open World Corporation.
Ha Long Bay has been recognised twice as the World’s Natural Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 1994 and 2000.
Visitors to Hanoi will have a good chance to enjoy Ha Long Bay’s beauty through over 100 large scale photos and objects arranged in three subjects including significant values of Ha Long bay, achievements in the management and promotion of Ha Long Bay heritage values, and Ha Long Bay and prospects of development.
Ha Long Bay – Natural Wonder of the World is the theme of the third Vietnam Cutural Heritage Day Programme aimed at collecting votes for Ha Long as one of the seven new natural wonders of the world.
Organisers have set up a system of computers at the exhibition and offered a number of free adventure trips to Ha Long Bay for people joining the vote.
