Vietnamese gymnastics team, including hopefuls Do Thi Ngan Thuong and Pham Phuoc Hung, will leave for London on January 6 to take part in the qualifying round of the 2012 London Olympics.

Thuong won two gold medals at the 26th SEA Games in Indonesia alongside fellow athlete Hung, who also earned two golds.

A slight worry is that Ngan Thuong has not completely recovered from leg injury.

In London, they will be competing in the uneven bars, pommel horse, balance beam and floor events, while Hung will be tested in the still rings, pommel horse, floor, high and parallel bars events.

The 2012 London Olympics Artistic Gymnastics qualifying round, which will be held from January 10-18, is expected to draw 38 athletes from 30 nations.
