Gymnast Phuoc Hung excels at World Cup

(VOV) - Vietnamese gymnast Pham Phuoc Hung bagged home a gold medal at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Slovenia from April 26-28.
Hung outplayed his opponents to score a massive 15.700 in Parallel Bars, claiming his first major international title.

Piasecky Samuel of Slovakia came in second with 15.125 points and Dimic Alen of Slovenia finished third with 14.800 points.
Another Vietnamese gymnast Hoang Cuong score 14.325 to rank fifth among a total of 8 athletes in the event.
On April 27 female Vietnamese gymnast Phan Thi Ha Thanh clinched a bronze medal in vault, winning 14.050 points.
Vietnam sent only three players to the world cup meet which saw fierce competitions from gymnastic powers, including Russia and the US.
