During the course, participants were provided with basic and practical knowledge about communications, differences between online journalism and other kinds of journalism, the structure of an online article and ways to make it attractive and useful to readers.

They were also offered a chance to learn skills of discussion, teamwork and critical thinking.

This was the first online journalism workshop held by DW in Vietnam, with the participation of Thorsten Karg and Sabina Casagrande, two experienced and enthusiastic lecturers from DW AKADEMIE and DW website.

DW plans to help VOV staff better serve online readers and to promote online journalism training in Laos and Cambodia.

DW has cooperated with VOV since the 1980s, mainly in the field of radio training.
