"Hanoi in renovation" of Berlin-based director Julia Albrecht was initiated by the director of the Goethe Institute in Hanoi who has keen love for the city. The film is expected to be screened in Hanoi's cinema-houses this fall.
In 2003, Mueller joined hands with director Albrecht to make "Good morning Hanoi," a 30-minute film, snap-shooting the life of a teenager who sells candies in the Old Quarter of Hanoi through her inner feelings. The film was aired on the German television channel ZDF after being screened at the renowned Duesseldorf and Leipzig Documentary Film Festivals. It was shown to the Hanoian movie goers at the Goethe Institute in March 2004.
Busso von Mueller, born in 1967 in Hamburg, Germany, is best known for "Three Grad Kaelter" (Three degrees colder), directed by Florian Hoffmeister, that won the Silver Leopard award at the 2005 Locarno International Film Festival.
Mueller was nominated for an award of the German movies industry, which will be presented in May.
