An exhibition of paintings by German artist Martin Schuster entitled ‘Mental Places’ will open in Hanoi on July 13.
Works inspired by his experiences in Vietnam and ideas of collective dreams, wishes and anxieties will be on display at the exhibition.
Born in 1984, Schuster studied painting in Germany for four years and then spent his last year of art school studying lacquer and oil painting, drawing and etching at the Vietnam University of Fine Arts.
His surrealistic paintings feature a range of different subjects such as religion, work placed, isolation and places of joy and salvation.
