Gabby Salazar shares her love for photography
(VOV) -Well-known National Geographic photographer Gabby Salazar shared her great passion for photography to help preserve wildlife with a large number of young Vietnamese people at a meeting in Hanoi on March 30.
Her prize-winning photos taken during her trips to over 18 countries around the world were also on show at the event.
Ms Salazar describes photography as “painting with light”, and in order to take a good photo, the photographer needs to capture impressive light. She says sunrise and sunset are perfect times for taking photos.
To improve their photography skills and become more creative, she encouraged the young photographers to practice more, share their pictures with others and listen to feedback from their friends and colleagues.
Now 26, Salazar has been working in the profession for more than 15 years and has received some prestigious awards, such as Best Nature Photography, Youth Category in 2002 and BBC Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 2004.
Other similar events are scheduled on March 31 in Ho Chi Minh City and will be continued in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
The event launched the EOS Young Photographer Awards in Asia, organized jointly by Canon and the National Geographic channel, said Shinichi "Sam" Yoshida, Canon Vice President and General Manager of its Marketing and Field Sales Division.
