The “Friendship Connections” programme kicked off in the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology on May 29, drawing the participation of children from Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, India, Russia, Japan and the Philippines.

The event is an opportunity for both Vietnamese and foreign children in Hanoi to represent the culture of their own countries through fashion shows, dancing, singing, music, games and toys.

The activities will help children learn more about their similarities and the cultural integration of countries worldwide.

A number of traditional games will also be played. In particular, the children will learn how to make traditional Vietnamese toys and enjoy popular Vietnamese and international films. There will also be a number of Vietnamese and foreign comics available for the children to read.

The programme will last until May 30.
