The Hue Imperial Relics Preservation Centre is drafting a community-based heritage preservation programme with assistance from France’s Nord-Pas de Calais region.
The programme aims to raise the public awareness of preserving and developing tangible and intangible cultural values of the imperial city’s relics.
Under the programme, young volunteers of the Centre are provided with more knowledge of the Heritage Law through lectures given by experts and take part in fact-finding trips to relics before carrying out a public communications campaign.
Prof. Tran Van Khe has presented lectures on the history and values of Hue royal court music to hundreds of young people under the framework of this programme.
The Centre has recently organised a parade of 40 bicycle riders, passing through major streets in support of the programme.
