French director Patrick Moreau has introduced his video footages on the traditions and rituals of many Vietnamese nationalities which he shot during the past three months.

These footages depict the funeral rites of the Tay ethnic minority people in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, the worship ceremony to Hoang Bay, a mandarin in the Le dynasty who was accredited with defending the border, at a temple in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai, a ritual meal taken by Cham ethnic minority people who are Islamic followers in the south central coastal province of Ninh Thuan.

This is the third time Patrick made his presentation in front of Vietnamese audiences at the Hanoi-based French Cultural Centre, L'Espace.

Vietnamese people leads a rich and diversified cultural life, especially a spiritual life, that I think even local people can not fully understand, said Patrick.

The French director said he will continue his trip to many different parts of the country to complete a lively documentary movie on the life of Vietnamese people.
