Vietnamese cultural expert Huu Ngoc will be presented with the “Award of Embassies, Delegations and Francophone Institutions” at a ceremony to mark Francophone Day on March 20.
The award, the first of its kind, acknowledges individual and group contributions to promoting French language and culture throughout the world.

Francophone Day celebrations also include a film festival featuring 13 fiction and documentary films from Vietnam, France, Canada, Greece, Morocco, Switzerland and the Belgium Wallonie-Brusseles region.

The Francophone Film Festival will be held from March 24 to April 4 in Hanoi, the former imperial city of Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.

Celebrations also feature a week-long exhibition opening in Hanoi on March 17, as well as an “Innovation in the French language” seminar to be held in Hanoi from March 21-22 and Ho Chi Minh City from March 25-26.
