The opening ceremony highlighted Quang Nam – a famous destination for two heritages and its beautiful scenery, friendship and untiring effort in preserving, restoring and promoting the cultural value of both heritages.

The ceremony raised more than VND3 billion from individuals and organisations for disabled people, orphans and poor children across the province.

The Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Dinh Hai, said that the first day of the festival features a wide range of activities such as procession of old vehicles, street exhibitions, and a traditional boat race.
