Three feature films and two documentaries will be shown at the 53rd Asia-Pacific Film Festival in Kaosiung City, Chinese Taiwan from December 17-20.

The three feature films are “Trang noi day gieng” (Moon at the bottom of the well”, “Dung Dot” (Don’t Burn” and “Choi Voi” (Adrift), and “Bai ca tren dinh Ta Nung” ( A song on Ta Nung Mountain) and “Loi nguyen cau” (Prayer) are the two documentaries.

The Asia-Pacific Film Festival was first held in 1954 by the Federation of Motion Picture Producers in Asia (FPA). Twenty one FPA member countries take turns to organise the event and Vietnam has won several important awards at the festival.

Director Nguyen Vinh Son, actor Hoang Cao De and actress Minh Huong will be in Taiwan for the event.

Dung Dot” and “Choi Voi” were shown earlier at the Pusan Film festival in the Republic of Korea, while “Choi Voi” and “Trang noi day gieng” were presented at the Namur Film Festival in Belgium and the Vancouver Film Festival in Canada.
