Vietnam’s Phu Quoc dogs are among the world’s five most famous dog breeds selected by the organizing board.  

The contest, the first of its kind in Vietnam, is in preparation for an international dog contest which will be held in HCM City in 2009.

Vice President of the Vietnam Dog Breeders Association, Nguyen Van Lang said that through the event, he wants to provide dog breeders with information on how to raise dogs properly.

He said to prepare for joining the Asia Dog Federation and the World Dog Federation, the association will organise a show for Vietnam’s beautiful dogs in the coming days.
