At  a recent press briefing in Ho Chi Minh City, the organizing board said that the qualifying rounds will be held in Hanoi, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho from March 1 to April 1, 2008. The winner will represent Vietnam to attend the International Miss Tourism. Contestants are Vietnamese high school graduates aged between 18 and 27.

Before entering the semi-final rounds, 100 contestants from the northern, central and southern regions will go sightseeing and join exchanges. The top ten contestants will compete in the final round which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on May 10, 2008.

The pageant will be held by the Vietnam Administration of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, A Chau Film Studio, D & D Company and Trans- Asia Transport Enterprise.
