First gold for Vietnam at Asian Finswimming Champs

(VOV) -Vo Thi Kieu bagged the only gold medal for host Vietnam on the first competition day of the fourth Asian Finswimming Championships in Danang on November 7.

Kieu overtook other rivals, finishing first in the women’s 1,500m surface (with snorkel) event.

Her teammate Vo Thi Thanh Vy came third in the women’s 100m surface bifins and the male and female teams each took silver in the 4x200m relay.

The results helped Vietnam place third after China and the Republic of Korea, who each pocketed four golds from eight events to share top position in the medal tally.
