A Lao television channel will make its debut on May 28 by screening a series of documentary films on Vietnam and the Laos-Vietnam relationship.
The channel will be the fourth to hit the airwaves under the Lao Star Channel network, a private satellite television station that was brought into being by the Lao National Television Station and the Lao culture and arts preservation group at the end of last year.
The films, provided by the Lao National Archive and Video Centre, focus on the Vietnamese people, culture and country and the Laos-Vietnam relationship.
The debut will coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Laos-Vietnam Friendly and Comprehensive Cooperation Treaty and the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
