Attending were the President of FICTS, Franco B. Ascani, and senior officials from Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The festival showcased 92 films from 34 domestic and foreign studios, including documentaries, features, science and education films, game shows, cartoons and commercials.
The event was to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and present Vietnam’s friendly image to the world.
During the festival, many activities were held such as a walk for the environment, a seminar on cooperation and development, meetings between cinematographers and students and a photography contest.
Two first prizes were awarded for features and game shows and four first prizes for documentaries and reportage.
The prizes for best director, best actress and best actor went to Ho Ngoc Sung, Tran Thi Kim Tuyen and Nguyen Hung Cuong, respectively.
