The cultural values of Vietnam, especially of the Cham ethnic people, will be spotlighted at the first ethnic cultural festival for the central and southeast regions, scheduled for June 16-19 in the central coastal province of Phu Yen.
The festival will also celebrate the land and people of Phu Yen, as well as the solidarity of local ethnic minority people.
Apart from culinary activities and traditional forms of recreation, visitors to the fiesta will be given a chance to deepen their understanding of the 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam through an exhibition by the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.
Thirteen provinces will participate in the festival, which is entitled "Convergence of marine and mountainous culture".
